A word from Debra about our 2007
Retreat...
The weekend of May 18-20, 2007, brought
the annual women's retreat, Seasons of Life,
to the ladies of Crossroads. The retreat
was held at Mt. Hermon Christian Conference
Center in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It was
a weekend full of exquisite sunshine, clear
skies, beautiful redwoods, and spiritual
renewal for all 80 women who attended. Our
own Nancy Canepa expounded upon the Seasons
of Life theme by taking our women on a journey
through the three phases of Moses' life.
The women that attended came away with a
true feeling for the sisterhood that exists
at Crossroads. We worshipped together, laughed
together, played together, cried together.
Lots of mothers and daughters attended together
as well as long-time friends attending together.
There were many women attending on their
own, too, and this was the best environment
in the world to initiate and develop friendships
while focusing on spiritual development
as well. At the end, the ladies were ready
to go out and build the Kingdom!
This was a wonderful 1st experience.
I will definitely go again.
I had a great time! Thanks for all
of your hard work. These women are some
of the most Christ-centered, God-loving,
fun-loving and generous women on the planet.
I am truly blessed to be a part of Crossroads
Bible Church.
I'm coming again next year, Lord willing.
I felt I received all around what I needed
and desired for my weekend experience. It
was a good time to get away. Loved the free
time, too, to do what I wanted.
The retreat was well-planned and fun.
I liked the small group idea so I was able
to get to know many women from the church
I've never met.
The meals were excellent and the location
suited us very well.
Nancy was so great; awesome! Really.
Very relevant, Biblical & challenging,
encouraging. The subject matter was meaningful
and well presented.
This was a wonderful time and God really
spoke to me in such a meaningful way.
