small groups

CBC offers a variety of ways you can connect to other people through our Small Group Ministry. Small Groups range from support groups to in-depth Bible studies to discipleship groups. Some groups meet at the church while others meet in the more intimate and personal setting of a home.

What is a Small Group?
At CBC, a Small Group is a small community of believers within a large church, where life-on-life ministry takes place. Small Groups are to be…
• Devoted to the apostles’ teaching (understanding God’s word)
• In fellowship together
• Breaking bread together
• Praying together
One desired result of Small Groups will be that people who don’t know Christ will desire to become part of the community of believers.

Small Groups are divided into three categories based on the meeting location and group emphasis.

Church-Based - groups meeting at the church, on Sundays as well as during the week. For more information about Church-Based Small Groups, contact Marty Lavoie.

Community-Based - groups meeting in homes throughout the valley. For more information about Community-Based Small Groups, contact Marty Lavoie.

Outreach-Based - groups meeting at the church or throughout the valley with an emphasis on reaching out to the community. For more information about Outreach-Based Small Groups, contact Tom Marshall.

For more information about Small Groups with a focus on men - how to start one or other general information, contact Dean Leonard.

For more information about Small Groups with a focus on women - how to start one or other general information, contact Sabrina Stewart
