Our
Mission:
Our community exists to passionately love God, love people and serve glocally* (both global and local communities).
Our
Driving Principles:
Each
church is unique. The uniqueness comes from a combination
of traditions, location, people and personality. In seeking
to understand the uniqueness of Crossroads Bible Church,
we have identified the following driving principles:
- Wisdom, not just knowledge
- People, not just programs
- Grace, not just law
- Discipleship, not just conversion
- Team, not individuals
- Truth, not relativism
|
- Love, not apathy
- Kingdom out, not Kingdom in
- Simplicity, not complexity
- Ministers, not consumers
- Relationships, not rituals
|
We believe that a community that embodies these principles will naturally accomplish God's mission.
Our
Beliefs:
-
There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely
perfect and eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit.
-
The Bible is God's infallible and inerrant revelation
about Himself, from which no one may add or take away,
and our only rule of faith and practice.
-
Jesus Christ is God's divine son, conceived by the Holy
Spirit, virgin-born, who died on the cross as a substitutional
sacrifice for our sin; He arose bodily from the dead and
ascended into heaven where He is now, our interceding
High Priest. He will come again in person to judge the
living and the dead.
-
Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin.
We have all sinned in our own right and need a Savior
to save us from the penalty of our sins. Salvation is
by God's grace through faith alone in Christ.
-
The church is a chosen body of believers, who by the
influence of the Holy Spirit were baptized into one body.
We accept as Christians those who have been born again
and we baptize by immersion as an act of believer's obedience
for public profession of an already resident faith. We
receive into our local membership those who have extended
faith in Christ and been baptized.
-
We believe in the imminent return of the Lord for His
Church and those who have put faith in Christ will live
with Him forever.
