There are certainly no simple answers, but God is clear in His Word about the role of the family and the importance of spiritual health. Exodus 6:6-8 is a passage that has been shaping my heart and thinking about my family and family ministry at Crossroads. It is the daily prayer of Jewish families that acts as a mission statement or centering thought to help guide the attitudes, words, and actions of the family members. My prayer is that our families would take this calling by God to heart and begin to ask ourselves tough questions about the spiritual health of our families.
I hope you will join our family in wrestling with the implications of trusting God with every aspect of our lives, especially when raising our kids!
