Michael Calleja

Michael Calleja is single again and the father of an adult son. Michael was invited to a non-denominational Christian church and was a regular attendee for about 5 years. Wanting to worship closer to home he has been attending Crossroads since 2003. Michael’s areas of ministry are Men’s Bible Study, teaching ESL classes, participating in a missions trip to New Orleans and he serves as a Worship Host; he is also part of the 2010 Kenya Team.

Mike & Julie Clark

Mike Clark has been married to his wife, Julie, for 27 years. They have three adult children. They are returning members to Crossroads, having attended when they were first married, then leaving to help start Cornerstone Bible Church, attending Jubilee Christian Center and returning to Crossroads. Mike volunteers his
assistance with construction projects around the church facility and as needed elsewhere when possible. He likes to help families become stronger in their relationships with each other and the Lord, encouraging and supporting them
in their areas of need.

Yolanda Clarke
Yolanda Clarke is single again and the
mother of an adult daughter. Yolanda has
been a member of Crossroads for many years. In addition to serving as Deaconess, she is involved in Baptism Ministry, Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Leader, Prayer Team, and Mentoring Team at Crossroads, and she helps in the church office during the week. Yolanda's spiritual gifts are those of Mercy, Serving, and Teaching. Her life verse is Proverbs 4:23: Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it springs all the issues of life.

Kevin and Elena Grant
Kevin and Elena Grant have been married for 28 years and have two adult daughters. In addition to serving as Lead Deacon, Kevin leads CBC's Compassion Ministry and was involved with the Worship Team for five years, running the sound board for Sunday service and special events. Elena is involved in the Baptism ministry, is a Worship Host, works in the nursery, coordinates the Prayer Chain, and helps Kevin in the Compassion Ministry.

Kevin says " I didn't decide to become a Deacon; God called me. I went to the first Deacon training meeting to see what it was about and immediately felt God's call to be a servant at CBC. The Deacon training program was amazing as we dove into God's word and it only further convicted me that I am to be a servant and love on others as Jesus did. This was also a greater opportunity for my wife and I to serve together in ministry." Kevin's spiritual gifts are Compassion and Serving while Elena's are Serving and Encouraging.

Kevin's life verses are Matthew 5:14-16, You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. The Bible verses upon which Elena relies are Jeremiah 29:12-13, Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Debra Hodges

Debra Hodges is single again with no children but will always be "Aunt Deb" to her many nieces and nephews. Debra has been a member of Crossroads since 2005. She is involved currently in the Prayer Chain, Compassion Ministry, Women's Bible Studies, Heartbeat newsletter for CBC women, and her Life Group. She loves the opportunity to provide meals for those who are in need. Debra decided to become involved in the Deacon program after looking for another ministry in which to serve after leaving her position as CBC's Women's Ministry Leader at the end of 2008.

Debra's spiritual gifts are distributed almost equally amount Administration, Wisdom, and Discernment. Her life verse is Jeremiah 29:11, I know the plans I have for you... plans to give you hope and a future.

David and Paula Knapp

David and Paul Knapp have been married for 34 years; they have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. They have been members of Crossroads Bible Church for over 25years. In addition to serving as Deacons, David is involved in Men's Bible Studies and Paula is involved in Women's Bible Studies, Choir, Prayer Team, Ministry Encouragement Team, VBS Program, and the Women of Worship (WOW). David and Paula complement each other with their spiritual gifts:

David's are Discernment, Faith, Giving, and Mercy, while Paula's are Leadership, Teaching, Encouragement, Administration, and Faith. David's favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don't give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We are knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. The Bible verse that inspires Paula is 1 Peter 4:10, Each one should use whatever gifts he has received to server others.
